Not a lot of nose, tons of sweetness, lots of alcohol, caramel malts, just a hint of hops, prune?, very very sweet, syrupy.

Great barley wine 11.1% you get some really fruity notes mixed the Carmel. Good bourbon notes too

Hazy deep amber, <1 finger head, sweet toffee malt with an oakey character, boozy finish. Not bad.

Wow! Strong as any Barleywine I've ever had, but not as sweet. "Ale aged in oak barrels" is what the label says, but there was some Good Stuff in those barrels previously.

Best barley wine I've ever had

Rush of flavors from the very first sip -- cherry, oak, vanilla -- with a different one standing out each time. Strong booze at the back end of every sip.

Overpowering alcohol taste on the front end-hints of scotch. Finishes smooth with strong favors of vanilla and toasted almond.

Very expensive and the blithering idiot is just as good

Not a fan. Strong oak flavor.

Light caramel color with a quick fading cream head. Big aroma, mix of rich malt and fruity, cherry sweetness. Flavor is a big barley BANG! Almost too much alcohol to taste much of anything. It's sweet, with mild maltiness, and a little vanilla. Off-dry. Not digging it at all.
