bugs318 - August 23, 2013Deep dark brown with a nice tan head of some retention and quickly receding lace. Nose is of coffee and chocolate, with a touch of smokiness and woody notes. Taste is lightly sweet up front with some cocoa, before a dry espresso finish with a faint lingering sourness. Body is medium full, with a fair carbonation, and yet a chewy creaminess that tempers the effervescence. A stellar stout, at 6.4%, that is almost imperial stout good without the ABV!
