beerdman - May 11, 2013Think sweet imperial IPA. It is hop forward with a malt build of a barley wine. Certain Imperial IPAs do have a big malt build (unavoidably), but they are not so sweet like this barley wine. It reminds me of a lower abv 120 Minute IPA. Enjoy fresh

Mr. Marcus - March 10, 2013Black cherry, over ripe strawberry, celery, and smoke on the nose. Fleur de sal, molasses, soy sauce, burnt sugar on the mouth. Nice long bitter finish. Decent if you like em barley whiney.

mrd775 - February 23, 2013Hoppy. Nice malt backbone. Pretty well-balanced. The hops have a bit of an odd taste to them. Mineral-y maybe? Overall, an enjoyable (and strong) beer.

hefewiseguy - February 13, 2013Smells sweet and hoppy. The barley comes thru on the tongue immediately. Great great beer. Sweet and bitter simultaneously.

witchal - May 22, 2012Nice ruby color and good head that fades quickly. Sweet hoppy nose. Sweet pallet although, In my humble opinion, way too hoppy for a barley wine. Feel a little duped into buying a mislabeled IPA.

zomerhouse - May 3, 2012Sweet nose. Great red color. Then the hops say hello. They balance well with the sweetness. Tasty, sweet, hoppy. Good sh:*t!

pcguitarwzrd - March 25, 2012A nicely balanced barley wine. Rich malt, even some fruity apple or pear notes, but not too sweet, and a good amount of hops at the end.

Borderking - February 26, 2012Hoppier than I prefer for a barleywine, but it really balances well here with the malt backbone. Tasty, hoppy, and sweet...a nice blend of flavors.
