B+. Sweeter than Narwhal, kind of a caramel flavor. Good, but not really a stout, more old ale or barleywine. Had the 2022 on 9-30-23. Light on bourbon, vanilla and some roast; a B at best.

Whew. Potent, and packed full of flavor. Hoppy, but necessary to match all the malt. Dang good, but 10 ounces is probably enough in one sitting. Alcohol is very well hidden for the percentage. (2014 vintage was 84 IBU.)

Was lucky to have a buddy that saved a couple. After some careful negotiations, got to try it. Great beer, well worth the hype and rating. Very complex and great taste throughout the process. Now how am I getting my hands on his last bottle?

Very complex chocolate plum taste with an alcohol backbone without going over the top. (Brouwer's)

4/25/15 boonton wine cellar. Amazing. Truly one of best beers. Nice smooth sweet and dark. Aged in bourbon.
