Great pumpkin flavor without the over the top spice of cinnamon and nutmeg to mask the malts.

A nice fall beer.. Lots of pumpkin and spice flavor but not overpowering

Had with cinnamon sugar on the rim which definitely enhanced the flavor. Other than that it's a fairly standard octoberfest-like beer. Great aroma and spice though!!

I picked this one up as part of a mix and match six pack. Appearance: poured to a light amber with a two finger foam head. Very little lacing on the sides of the glass Aroma: the scent has cinnamon more than anything else but I also pick up some citrus. Palette: light-bodied without as much carbonation that I expected from the pour. Taste. I pick up the pumpkin and spices, but this ale also is a bit more bitter than other pumpkin ales I have had. The taste also lingers on the tongue with a bit of a sulphury astringent aftertaste that i didn't find pleasant. Overall: Not one of my favorite pumpkin ales this season, but if you like a bit of bite to your ale, it would fit the bill.

4 stars for being daring and not just producing yet another pumpkin ale. Wow - a pumpkin ale that actually tastes like pumpkins, not just cinnamon (or other spices) and sugar. I expect very few people I know have actually eaten pumpkin. Initial thought on tasting was 'this tastes odd' but then I recognized the flavor and was impressed. Not something I would drink every day, but this would be good with a roast meal.
