Better from the bottle than on tap. Disappointingly strong hop bitterness that overwhelms the other flavors when draft.

Very good and sharp dark Belgian ale

Mahogany cloudy appearance with thin off-white head and little lace. Malt and grape fruity aromas dominate smell and taste. Sweet at first. Medium bodied with nice alcohol warmth as a finish. Fulfilling brew that I would enjoy again.

Enjoyed the heavy malt feel with a hint of grape. I liked it, but I think there is room to be even bolder with this one.

Malt and flowery white grape hit the nose at least. Not a lot beyond malt in overall flavor, similar to brown ale. Grape is barely tasted. Great idea, disappointing result. Why is it so highly rated?!

The heavier malt mouthfeel overtook the subtle grape/raisin tones I hoped for. I wished for a reverse of that.
