So good I can't wait to try their other offerings. I especially like the buttery sweet after taste. Also apparent to the nose.

Pours a deep brown colour. Out of the bottle, it smells a bit skunked, but let it sit for a minute or two. The rum and vanilla really shine through in aroma and flavour.

Slightly heavier but finishes with a pleasant bite

Aroma: Light and sweet, an edge of apricot and dark sugar. There us definite hint of wood on a deep sniff. Appearance: Nice and deep brown red with a just off tan head n Taste: Sweet and tame, the barrels seem to have really mellowed out the flavor. There a slight alcohol bite on the end of the drink that brings with it an edge of rum flavor. A definite hop bitterness is there but in no way is the main player. A nice smooth mouthfeel gives a luxury feel to the beer. Taste: Another great offering from this brewery devoted to wood aging. The shorter time in a more flavored wood adds a subtle edge to the great base ale they make. Not quite as good as thee original, missing some of the smokey sweetness for a brown sugar edge, this is still not to be missed.
