Tried again. Too many spices. It used to be my favorite pumpkin ale.

Not pie flavored. More like actual pumpkin.

First, this is a BIG brew at 9% ABV. It os not for the feint of heart. Second, it's not loaded with pumpkin pie spices. This ones is pumpkin and nutmeg. That's it. Generally, I like more spice in my pumpkin brews. For some reason, I love this beer. Everything about it is good - nose, mouthfeel, balance, aftertaste. A great beer.

Very bitter. Southern Tier Pumking is the best!!

Bitter flavor. Predominantly nutmeg. Pumpkin is hard to detect.

Stronger hop flavor than most Pumpkins I have tried.
