Hazy mild orange with a slight off white head. Maple and a nice smoky bacon aroma. Smoky bacon flavor dominates and finishes with a mild bitterness. Maple flavor dances along with it. Mild and a light mouthfeel. Very good but the aftertaste is reminiscent of an extra crispy bacon.
Surprisingly tasty.
Bottle. 8-3-12

Pleasant maple smell at first but after tasting, all was ruined. It kind of tasted like they put too much liquid smoke in it.

Fine aroma, but terrible taste. Like a cigarette put out on week old syrup.

Bacon maple flavor is much stronger than any actual beer flavor, which is the only thing keeping this brew from 5 stars, still highly recommended. Pröst!!

Amber straw color with a healthy white head that quickly levels off. Pleasant maple scent. Sweet malty flavor. Finishes with mild bitterness and a hint of smoke. Not enough to qualify for "bacon" in the name. Still a good maple beer.

I was extremely disappointed in this one. Simply tastes like liquid smoke and alcohol. Could not have missed the mark more. I get no maple and no bacon here, and it really needs some sweetness. Rogue really needs to rework this rexipe, especially when they're charging $18 a bottle.

Very smoky. Shares many characteristics of a stout or a porter. The maple flavor come through very nicely, but he bacon only comes through on the first sip or two.

Great beer to end the night with if you know you're not going to be up for breakfast!
