We really like Christmas style Ales.... Especially Great Lakes but this one just"uncomfortable". Southern Tiermakes some awesome beers but this one needs a makeover.

Awful. I'm not against spiced beers but this is way over-spiced. Smells like Christmas. If you poured beer and egg nog through a fruit cake and down the branch of a pine tree into your mouth, I guarantee it would taste just like this.

Smells and aromas of Christmas. Tastes good off the bad then diminishes quickly into a "what the hell is that" kind of beer. The after taste is nasty and it's not think like a traditional Xmas brew. Still an OK beer.

A blend of malts, hops, orange peel, and figs gives this brew a full flavor and strong punch (8%).

Good beer, a little too much spice. At first I was pretty amazed at the flavor, but after a few drinks it becomes a little overwhelming.

Another reason why southern tier is one of the best breweries in the county. Fantastic holiday beer, great blending of spices. Bravo!

Good Xmas ale. Mild spice, well-balanced. Dark color. Good carbonation

I really wanted to like this a lot more but it isn't nearly as smooth as I would have liked. It's surprisingly boozy for an 8% abv beer, and not really in a pleasant winter warming way. Kind of harsh overall. Although there are some nice spice and fruit flavors in there, it just doesn't come together too well.

Christmas in a bottle. Gingerbread and figs with a taste of orange peel. Toss is some cinnamon and nutmeg and you have pure Christmas bliss.
