Too hoppy. Says will change each year but 2016 not the right choice

Way too hoppy. And it's not a dark ale as the bottle claims. Terribly disappointing. Me and my three friends all poured it out.

Excellent drinkability and balance of flavor notes. Don't let the word "spice" on the label scare you, this one is subtle and smooth.

Smooth at first but bitter finish

Burnt pine needle flavor. This isn't good. 2014 version

Tastes more like a too hoppy IPA than a Christmas beer.

Too hoppy for me. Able to drink it, but would never select. Aspects of a quality beer.

Very hoppy for a Christmas ale, and seasonal spices seem to be absent. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just unusual. Seems almost like an IPA/brown ale hybrid.

Hoppy and not spicy. Nothing special.
