APPEARANCE - Clear amber with 2-finger head that lasts. Good lacing. AROMA/SCENT - Hops, grain, sweet. TASTE - Hops, nutty, bread. ABV mostly hidden. MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - Good carbonation, clean, light, effervescent, crisp, refreshing. VALUE - $10 for an 11 oz. bottle - not that bad for an import at a restaurant. OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - Quite drimkable for a Tripel. Not a sipping beer.

Very good, but not "world class" like rochefort. Probably a step down from chimay blue but very close. Nice full mouth feel. I detect a hint of raisins, followed by other dried fruit. Very pleasant flavor, not too boozy. Would def drink again

Had this alongside a Westy 12 upon the recommendation of a reputable gentleman who said it stacked up to the king. This is a magnificent quad, but the Westy absolutely blew it out of the water.

Pours a nice cloudy light brown/dark red with a decent creamy head of great retention with fine lacing. Aromas are of plums and raisins, with some bread. Nose is phenomenal. Taste is of licorice, dried fruit and figs, and is sweet, with a full body and fair carbonation that leads to a slightly tingly yet fully creamy feeling with sufficient earthy dryness, if imbalances towards sweetness. Delicious!

Sweet. Strong. Warm. No head. Raisin. Good with an oatmeal raisin cookie.
