Sweet balanced pale ale, a little thicker than most, amber in color. Good beer. Bottle, May 2014.

A very solid APA. Nice floral notes from the hops maybe a bit of citrus fruit. A touch of sweetness from the malt with a touch of bitterness from the hops. Good balanced beer.

Here's what we've got: a solid American ale. It's not an IPA so, Cali kids, let's remember that and be a little more objective. It's finely balanced with a floral bouquet, and perhaps a bit fuller than typical APAs, a la a syrupy finish akin to a Dale's. It represents the west coast well with finely balanced hops, though more wouldn't hurt. I'm not a big fan of Widmer, but wouldn't refuse this one on tap.

This is one of my favorite beers of all time. One of the things I really miss about living in Oregon was being able to get Widmer beer pretty much anywhere. This is definitely their best brew in my opinion.

Some fruit notes here. Fuzzy, not hoppy.

Taste like grapefruit, not as good as Drifter that it replaced.
