Belgian ale with a banana spice after notes.. hazy amber hue, zesty aroma, and 10% ABV goodness. Truly reminds me of the Belgian Trappist brews. 8/28/23

B to B+. Probably an A when fresh, but the spicy characteristics had faded. Very much to style of Belgian Golden Strong

Found a four year old bottle in the back of the cooler at my local liquor store and decided to roll the dice. Wow!! Surprising how clear and clean this beer pours...and the flavors are so nice and balanced. But the biggest surprise is that even though this beer is brewed and bottled in San Diego, CA, it is a pitch-perfect Belgian Spiced-Golden, on par with Rince Chocon or Straffe Hendrik Triple. Bravo Alesmith!! My gamble paid off!! Thanks!!

Excellent. Nice color. Sharp aroma. Great beer. Very Belgian. 10% is not too strong.

APPEARANCE - Cloudy orange with a 2-finger head that lasts. Good lacing.
AROMA/SCENT - Sweet, piney, herbaceous.
TASTE - Hoppy, piney, herbaceous, a little sweet. ABV well-hidden. A bit closer to an IPA than to a Belgian Ale.
MOUTHFEEL/PALATE/TEXTURE - A bit of carbonation.
VALUE - Reasonable.
OVERALL/DRINKABILITY - Very quaffable.

Such an original taste.. Slight citrus,Subtle hops, but the Belgian candy sugars and Trappist yeasts mask it.. Sweet and drinkable.. Love the big abv too.. A must try.. Could easily drink all nite long...4 stars
