At first the medium body was a turn off and it seemed more like a porter. But it sneaks up on you, that 12% abv and the beers other characteristics. By the end of the beer, it felt like id had something very substantial and filling. So it works. Malt, chocolate, sweet. Muy bueno.

Roasty malt nose. Very carbonated, but it subsides. Has a smooth roasty chocolate taste with a hoppy backbone. Good, but not as "imperial" as I'd like it.
