Fruity sweetness is just a bit overbearing on the first glass and didn't mellow as it warmed. Didn't taste the ABV late like the others (until it was really warm) but I wish I had. I'll stick to Brooklyn Chocolate for my winter heavy...

Reddish brown with great clarity. Head was small and disappeared quickly. Malty sweetness dominates the nose. Sweetness up front gives way to fruitiness with just a hint of cidery notes. Finishes with the malty sweetness. Tasted kind of one note. Sweet. 12 oz bottle

The only thing that keeps this from being a five star beer is that it's just a touch on the sweet side. The rest of the beer is fantastic.

Taste the smoke. It has the peat of a scotch so it's odd with the temp to which it is served!
