JJKing - July 20, 2014Surprisingly smooth, reminds me of dogfish head chicory stout. Definitely taste the chocolate but it's not overbearing. Good for an after dinner beer.

specksofdust - May 30, 2013Closer to a Porter, as I imagine them, then I would prefer from a Stout, especially a chocolate one. I found the chocolate a bit weak and overpowered by the roasted malts. This improved as it warmed up, but it also became more metallic. Others note a coffee flavor, but I did not get it. I do have to say that for the price it's an excellent value for a highly drinkable beer.
