Off the wall amazing. Pours a thick viscous black with zero head and a light vanilla bourbon aroma. Thick viscous and complex this is an amazing lightly carbonated beer. With the mouthfeel of liquid chocolate, starts with a dark chocolate flavor followed by vanilla burnt sugar and molasses. Opens into a sharp boozy warming bourbon finish. The quintessential winter sipping by an open fire beer. I bet it complements a cigar perfectly. For sipping just like a fine scotch.

Draft (DRAFT!!!), Goose Island pint (didn't deliver snifters).
Pours black, tan head. Light bourbon with caramel and vanilla on the nose. Flavor is sharp and boozy, but there's a molasses that fits with the bitterness of the booze. Same as my other rating. A fantastic slow drinker for a winter's day/night. Mouthfeel on draft is a bit lighter than bottle, not quite as thick and creamy.

Impressive influence from the bourbon barrel, deliciously balanced however

Really good stout. Not a ton of bourbon flavor, I've had some that burned worse Lots of vanilla coming through. Pretty smooth.

Bourbon, soy sauce, chocolate, coffee, perfection. Those are the things I taste in this beer. About as good as it gets.
