Best black IPA to date. Smooth and silky with great hop bite and lingering presence. Absolutely delicious. Bottle, June 2013.

a nice dark color that really came across more as a stout than an IPA. It did finish with a hoppy bitterness that lasted but it was not its strongest characteristic.

Had at a Black IPA tasting. Not much hop in the aroma. The initial flavor is that of toasted malt with a slight alcohol edge. It finished with a increasing amount of hop. Overall not as hoppy as your typical IPA but an interesting European take on what is pretty much a new American style. Would like to try this one again.
