Nice beer from stone. Freshness is key and the hop forward flavor is great,

Drank with Kevin Creany. Nov 2013. Hazy, honey caramel. More bitter than aromatic although it got more balanced as it warmed.

12NOV13, Apt 11.12.13 enjoy by 22oz, beveled pint Pours a clear golden color with about a finger of barely off white head that dissipates to a nice thick film. Aroma is piney with some lemon citrus. Flavor is big pine up front with medium finish. Finish is good sharp bitterness with the lemony citrus peeking around the corner. Damn. This is one delicious beer. The hop sweetness is great at the front of the flavor, and gracefully yields to the bitterness towards the finish.

4th batch of a Super limited one time release that made it to nj (??!th batch overall) - brewed on 10/14 and drinking 11/5 New idea by stone to drink a super fresh super hopped ipa within 35 days of brewing. Beautiful amber beer with a frothy aromatic head. Lots of piney and citrusy grapefruit aromas. Also dank resin earthy smell. Similar to 9.21.12 & 5.17.13 Very refreshing hoppy taste with more citrusy notes. A piney finish as well. like 5/17/13. Very drinkable and smooth for a nearly 10% ipa, and seems to be evenly hop forward to the 2nd batch, but had a thick syrupy mouthfeel and seems more flat than previous batches. A little disappointing compared to others. Had on draft at cork city too and the flavors seemed more muted while the beer tasted flat. Not as impressed with this batch as previous versions. 2nd bottle on 9/13 - on the 'expiration date' and our 5 month anniversary still a super fresh ipa. a little more mellow but Lots of bite out of the bottle citrus piney and resin aroma. Very full bodied hop forward ipa with a citrusy grapefruit finish. It will be missed.

Nicely layered IPA, starts tasting like an unremarkable American IPA but has a really hoppy finish. Had the 11.12.13
