The Brewer bottles many styles under the label of Gavroche. The one depicted is Fermentation Haute - a Biere Sur Lie (wine beer). The one I have rated is French Red Ale, also a Biere Sur Lie. If you order or purchase a Gavroche, be sure you know what you are getting.

It has an almost sour \ nutty taste as soon as you drink. Then it smooths out and has a muted fruity aftertaste. The color is deep red.

More tasteful than Killian's Red. This French red ale has an exceptional body flavor, and adequate bitterness aftertaste. With its high ABV 8.5%, you can't beat it.. Cheers! 5/14/13
