Mapwhap - July 31, 2016Strong black ale sums this one up very nicely. There is a definite taste of alcohol in this one from the start. This ale is almost jet black in color, and has a very roasted flavor throughout from all the malt. Probably not something I would sit around drinking on a regular basis. However, when combined with Martin House's Stars Above to make a "Purgatory", it becomes much more drinkable.
