looks the part with an opaque black body, and a fine beige head of solid retention (though with no lacing at all). It smells primarily of sweet chocolate and tastes similar with sugary sweet malts and chocolate notes present, but with no balance and without the complexity of flavour to taste like dessert. Though creamy, it remains quite thin bodied and is fairly boozy. Better than a Guinness, but one of the least impressive beers I have had in what is probably my favourite style. Grade: C+
