Not my favorite barleywine,but still very drinkable. The oak aging makes it finish more dry than blithering does.

Oak aging makes it taste like a quad. Candies raisins and dates, oaky vanilla caramel. Sweet and delicious!

Tried the 2011, 2012, and 2013 together. 2013 had a very strong vanilla flavor, 2011 was dominated by the oak bourbon barrels, but the 2012 had a really nice balance, with both of those flavors present, and a small bit of the fruity flavor. 2012 was my favorite for the balance.
