One if the best all around porters I've ever tried. So good. Smooth, easy to drink with plenty of flavor

Just the way I envision a porter:smooth, malty, roasty. Can hardly believe it is a 7.5.

Had it at local option. Dark Chocolatey and dry. Not at all sweet and only slightly hoppy.

Malty and more hops than expected.

I prefer porters over IRS for winter beer. This one was the best I've had in a long time, hints of chocolate and vacillate. With a nutty finish make this one my favorite porters so far.

This is the best porter I have tasted so far. Perfect dark chocolate taste balanced by hops. Absolutely delicious. Bottle, December 2013.

Chocolate brown porter, a little hoppy. Lively, small head. Nice.

Pours dark black & thick with a thick lasting mocha head and strong chocolate aromas with notes of raisins, cream, and espresso notes. Rich, smooth, flavorful, and satisfying from the first taste. Rich and creamy, velvety thick mouthfeel. The flavor is much the same as the aroma. The depth of the roast and coffee are delicious and rich at first, giving way to cream, vanilla, and nutty notes, before a slightly roasted bitter finish. Each and every flavor is balanced and layered, making for a superb complex beer. Would definitely get again. One of the most enjoyable porters I've had and another strong entry from Maine beer co.

Beyond quintessential, this is the perfect porter. Tastes of top shelf bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee grounds give way to a soft, sweet medley of malt and Oreo cookie. Delicious, rewarding, and awe-inspiring.

Good weight but nice crispness that makes it summer worthy.
