Loving this double/brown. Smooth, malty and loaded with toffee and milk chocolate notes.

Pours a thick frothy, fizzy, and quite audible off-white head of moderate retention and super lace with nice layering atop a red-tinged brown body. Aromas are of sweet ripe plums. Taste is likewise malty with raisins and figs foremost and some clove-like spicyness. Finish is of earthy dryness but it is more sweet while the mouth is pretty smooth considering the carbonation.

By the look of the bottle and description, I was expecting something a bit heavier. Highly carbonated and fairly sweet. Not the worst or best brown ale I've had.
