On a second tasting, this is better than I remember (initially called it 'bland and uninteresting,' did I maybe have it after a double IPA?) It has a decent head, though with poor retention and lacing. Light amber in color and very clear. Sweet fruity/malty aromas alongside decent hints of toffee and caramel. A nice almost oaky flavor with a drying slightly grassy and citrusy finish. A creamy, tingly mouthfeel and medium body. Would be very nice were it not for a soapy lingering aftertaste that detracts from its strengths.
