Smells toasty. Pretty mild hoppiness. More malty than anything, with a decent crisp flavor. I get more of a pilsner flavor with a hop flavor finish. Good taste of history. Drink it and be enlightened!!

You definitely get the hops in the beer. It lacks a real malty character. But this is a replica of the original so you cannot compare it to the current craft beers. It's THE original craft beer so enjoy the history lesson

1-17-13. Pretty mild hopiness by today's standards but a nice crisp cascade flavor. I get a little of a pilsner flavor with a hop flavor finish. Golden with a nice white head. Head does not linger long though.
