Beautiful dark caramel color. Aroma is a twisted fruity sweet. Kinda reminds me of Seoul...like sweet garbage. The taste is unique but not as complex as the label makes it to be..."Ale brewed with licorice root, star anise, sweet orange peel, coriander, cumin." Definite cherry fruit notes but not overpowering. I still can't decide if I appreciate the flavor. I discovered this beer at Brews and Blues at the Springs Preserve 2014. Enjoy this at a less cold temperature without the frosty glass.

Caramel in color with a frothy tan head and rich caramel toffee aromas. Medium in body with malty flavors pretty sweet. Not much complexity and a burnt caramel finish. Drinkable but just ok. As it warms up has a tobacco flavor to it.

Disappointing...Not as malty and fruity as most dubbels...Dubbels might be my favorite style beer, this is probably my least favorite in the category, drinkable but nothing memorable...personally ommegang is way overrated , really don't like their take on Belgian style beers, go back to the drawing board and fix that because it's not working... Way over priced also...
