Nice. Full. Chocolatey. What lays underneath is a great stout that would carry anywhere year round, but a tiny burst of holiday spice on each sip and a warm big caramel sweetness. Toasted coconut aftertaste for sure. Didn't blow me out of the water on first taste albeit very tasty, but grew and was very intricate nevertheless.

Very good Russian stout. Extremely chocolatey and coffee like and strong. One of my faves.

Had a draft aged in oaken bourbon barrels. The oak/bourbon kind of overpowered everything else in both smell and taste. Disappointed only because I love imperial stouts but this is the second barrel-aged one I've had where the barrel overpowers everything else.

Deep deep black, mocha brown head. Smell the bourbon, oakey smell more than anything (had it bourbon-barrel aged on tap). Thick, hard to taste the flavored beyond the barrel

Needed to chill for longer from BevMo tonight. Good egg nog chaser. Nice dark pour and imperial stout for dessert.

Aroma
Extremely sweet, slight roasty notes, strong chocolate notes
Taste
Strong alcohol presence, dry finish, roasty and robust
