A very nice Christmas ale from Schlafly. Too many Christmas ales simply don't have a unique flavor profile, but this one does - pours a beautiful dark honey colour. Clove forward, with nutmeg and cinnamon. A honey sweetness at the finish that gives it a mead-like quality. Alcohol content is well masked within the robust flavour profile.

Caramel in color with a small tan head and clove aromas with a cherry note. Medium body with a sweet malty caramel gingerbread spiced flavor and a cherry undertone with allspice orange peel and cardamoms. A little too sweet and cloying on the finish like molasses. Just ok not one of the better christmas ales I've had which is a bit surprising given that schlafly is usually very good. Maybe it's the cherries, sort of like a mulled wine aftertaste.

Amazing Christmas Ale. Perfect blend of spices, cloves hitting you right up front but mellowing to perfection. Favorite Christmas beer.
