This is not the best Belgian Strong Ale out there, but definitely up there with any American ones. Nice and sweet with some spice notes, but the 12.5% alcohol comes through, but that is pretty common for bigger Belgians, so I would say it is par or just above, but it would be amazing if the alcohol weren't so prevelent. Try it if you can get it.

Fantastic. First sip was about a 90/100...and it got better with every drink. Surly knows what they are doing. Smells of spices, subtle fruit and alcohol for the most part. Color is a brilliant reddish amber... Gorgeous. Tastes of cloves and other spices, slight banana, some fruity notes, a little toffee-like, with a kick of alcohol (12.5% ABV so it's definitely a sipper...). The beer goes down so smoothly. I'm glad I made to trip to the SeVIIn release party in Minneapolis. (Served in .25L goblet-style glass).
