Too hoppy

Great winter ale. Excellent dark stained oak color with a tan head. An aroma of hops and may be even walnuts. First taste is warmingly hoppy with a a chocolaty, malty finish (interesting not that it's a new malt called Midnight Wheat). 4 of 5 stars.

Supposed to be a black IPA but little hops to be had. Good roast/burnt flavor though

Not bad. Pretty hoppy but overall tasty for a dark ale.

Nice aromatic hops, not terribly bitter. Lighter body than ABV suggests. Great session beer!

A black IPA is the closest I can say. Very dark, very hoppy with sweet malts to match.

Surprisingly delicious! The balanced hops are really the cherry on top. Easily the best beer New Belgium makes!
