bob_527999@yahoo.com - June 2, 2012Dark brown color. Thick light caramel head from pour dissipates rather quickly - dissapointingly (though this is not an ale). Malty and refreshingly smooth up front, especially for a high ABV doppelbock, but leaves a somewhat dry, sour aftertaste. Not bad once in a while. At 1 pint and .9 oz and 7.5% ABV, it does the job after just one. Lager style gives it enough light crispness (but not lacking in flavor) to satisfy that stronger bock craving and warms ya up!
