Decent but not great scotch ale with slight bitter taste. Stronger beer.

Great nose, with nice smoky aromas and a pleasant warming mouthfeel alongside a nice smoky taste.

Nice creamy/smooth beige head with moderate retention and a thick smooth lace. Root-beer brown in color. Aromas of malty sweetness, alcohol, and a hint of cherries. Flavor is decently balanced, though oddly I was hit by the drying hops first before a sweeter, mature finish that offered a slight hint of vanilla. Later sips offered slight butterscotch notes. A nice wee heavy!
