robbywil - November 18, 2011Great hop flavor with burnt chocolate/coffee. Hops shine a bit more in flavor than others of this style. Dark Malt and alcohol come through a bit too harsh.

Marplot - November 11, 2011It was viscous and poured like oil. It had a great looking brown head that hung for the duration and a strong hop aroma. The taste though was horribly bitter and a little like eating grass.

cclonch - November 4, 2011Had at a Black IPA tasting. Poured like cough syrup, slow & thick, that produced a thick, creamy, tan head. Big hop aroma with an equally big roasted malt, chocolate character. Tastes the same with a definite alcohol presence but it isn't overpowering. The clear winner of the night. I will have this again!

jamiemorgancda - October 1, 2011Very smooth and smoky flavor. Enjoy most of Stone's beers and this is no exception. Smells of chocolate and is that Bourbon?

dmartz1129 - September 29, 2011Awesome beer. I'm not a big fan of the style but this one works. Major hop aroma

Stoney_68 - September 28, 2011This is the best IPA I have ever had...the smoothness is unbelievable. HIGHLY recommend trying this out! I am getting more!!!

allisonmann - September 27, 2011Drank while making lunches and having spicy pork. Lost flavor. Strong!

Jsurfs - September 26, 2011Amazing, had this in Charlotte on draft. An Imperial Black IPA\ Cascadian Dark? I tasted a ton of roasted malts with a lighter hop characteristic. Maybe slightly off the style but one of the best brews I've had!
