Pours a light copper from the bottle to a thin, white head. Great carbonation. Smell: soft floral, herbal notes with a resinous fresh hop backbone. Also picking up spice. Overall, this spicy bouquet is reminiscent of noble hops. Taste: floral notes meet a noticeable spice (pepper/cinnamon). Not much fruitiness. Mouthfeel: unlike many other Stone beers, this isn't so aggressively bitter. As it warms the bitterness is even more smoothed out and the spice gives way to delicate floral notes. Mouthfeel is light with almost no malt backbone to speak of; this beer is one star away from five stars because of that very reason. Overall: very intriguing IPA. Would get again but it would not be my top choice at a bar with a good tap list.

Mellow ipa with a hint of sweet and earthy. Something in there is good and DIFFERENT. I may move to a 4.5 star but prob limited release so won't get to enjoy too many.
