Has a rich, meaty sort of aroma. Very dark, reddish almost black color. Dry, very little sweetness. Has a very pronounced smokiness but otherwise it is pretty much on par with other oatmeal stouts that I've had. Good but not great, kind of lacks the richer, more satisfying mouthfeel that would put it over the top for me. It improved as it warmed and the hops became more apparent and rounded the flavor out nicely.
