Pretty flavorful and complex for an English style session ale. Better than most similar beers actually from England.

As others have stated, it's not very bitter (especially for Victory, who likes to make bitter beers) but this is great. Incredibly drinkable and at only 4% abv it is like a sessions ale. Could drink this all night.

08JUL13, Flying Saucer, Nashville, TN Draft, pint, nitro Pours an initially cloudy nitro-ey cream tan, yielding to a clear light copper color with a glad finger of thick creamy off-white head. Mouthfeel is mildly thick. Creamy malt flavor, not really bitter at all. No real aroma. Meh.

Not as bitter as a real English bitter, but good. Had at basement temp out of a cask. I really enjoyed it but if you're expecting true English bitter taste you'll be disappointed.

Lights, smooth, bready malty. Not very hoppy

Hints of raisins in the aroma and initial taste. Not bitter nor musty. Aftertaste dissipates rapidly. Smooth not clingy. Handpump version.

I wish this was more available. A smooth traditional English cask conditioned. I had it at the 777 club in Philly, hand pulled and perfect 45 degrees. Low natural carbonation, and a bubbly head that carries the flavor of hop and caramel but quickly disappears as you drink. Wonderful!!!
