07JUN14, Apt 22oz, Bell's large snifter Have had since August 2013. Pours black, with medium brown head that fizzles as soon as it appears. Doesn't retain any head. Bourbon is prominent in the nose, but not overwhelming. The pecans are fleeting, leaving me guessing if I'm smelling bourbon or pecans. Mouthfeel is medium-thick, with some booziness masking itself as carbonation. The bite is almost sweet, and lingers as a playful sharpness. Not bitter, and not covered up by sweetness, just playful. The flavor is sweet bourbon. The pecans might be a little more noticeable now, but it seems like more of some vanilla with altar molasses. It's enjoyable; but maybe not so much in an 80-degree room in June.

Pours jet black from the bottle into a snifter. Has a thin one finger head that recedes after a little while. Moderate legs. Smell: dark malts and bourbon. Taste: sweet pecans followed by bourbon note. Mouthfeel: smooth, full mouthfeel. Overall: awesome beer.

This is incredible! Last bottle was picked up by my buddy and we lucked out. The pecans came through nicely and it finished smooth. If you can find it, try it.

Thick syrupy pour, sweet with chocolate, Caramel, pecan, and oakie bourbon undertones. You'll feel it fast. I nearly cried when it was done.
