Nose is bubbles apples champagne raisin apricot fog. Silky smooth not as yeasty as I expected slightly sour slight leather flavor. You can tell its american not a true Belgian

Pours dark, good Belgium style, not complex as some of the good American Belgium's like Three Philosophers.

This had such a fruity taste, it tasted more like wine(I'm not a wine drinker) not beer! The high alcohol content was the only thing really enjoyable, I needed a good buzz after choking this down.

Very drinkable considering it's 9.4% abv. Medium head with beautiful toffee color. Mouthfeel is not too heavy with fragrant aroma. Sweet with notes that aren't discernible but smooth and full flavor

Smooth flavor. Subtle hoppy after note. Light carbonation improves drink-ability. 9.4% alc/vol does provide a strong alcohol flavor, but not enough to take away from the beer. Great beer for most occasions.

My favorite Belgian style ale. Pours dark orange with little head that dissipates quickly. Smells of cola, oranges and red wine. Tastes of apples, dates, cola and wine. Lacks the typical Belgian funk. That must be why I like it.

An exceptional California dark ale, with an aggressive full flavor of goodness. Sweet chocolate caramel tones and a high ABV 9.4%, what's not to like? Cheers from sunny Southern California USA! 5/13/14
