My favorite Belgian style ale. Pours dark orange with little head that dissipates quickly. Smells of cola, oranges and red wine. Tastes of apples, dates, cola and wine. Lacks the typical Belgian funk. That must be why I like it.

An exceptional California dark ale, with an aggressive full flavor of goodness. Sweet chocolate caramel tones and a high ABV 9.4%, what's not to like? Cheers from sunny Southern California USA! 5/13/14

Aged for at least two years after purchase...
FRICKEN WONDERFUL!!
Caramel and malty...
Will get another to age.

Not usually a style I like, however I thoroughly enjoy this. I have a thing for beers with a sweetness and this one has it for sure. Big fig notes.

Reminds me of figs. It's overall good, but There is a sweetness to it that I'm not a fan of.

Dark brown body w/ reddish tinge & tan head. Boozy rich malt aromas. Dark roasted malt, fig, raisin & spice notes in flavors. Medium bodied.
