Pours dark burgundy with a large tan head. Lots of lacing. Smells of roasted malts. Tastes of coffee, malts and lightly smoked. Smoke flavor is nicely subdued.

Wasn't super crazy at first but it has really grown on me. Great dark beer. Stout characteristics without the meatiness. Great chocolatey notes that come out more as the beer warms. Better than Guinness black lager.
