Taken from a recipe from 1554, this black lager is crisp and light with a dry, subtle chocolate finish.

Dark color, but surprisingly lighter in taste than expected. Maybe because it is a lager and I typically attic to ales. Really nice coffee and chocolate finish. Definitely liked it as it wasn't overbearing.

Similar to Zwanzigs nut brown ale. Maybe a little darker. Not as sweet.

It was ok, would drink again but wouldn't buy it....smooth but wasn't thrilled with the flavor
