janomac - February 4, 2015Pours as a copper ale. Weak head, no lacing. First taste is sweet alcohol, even though the ABV is only 8.2%. Further flavor profile follows a typical copper or red ale. Nothing distinguishes the ale from other, less expensive ales. There is surprisingly very little flavoring from the oak (or Bourbon); very little hint of vanillins and no obvious oaky tannins.
I was expecting more.
