osuedj - June 30, 2013If Russell Crowe were a beer... Hoppy bitter aroma balanced by a surprising malty finish. Definitely a double IPA, but the strong malt rounds out the profile. Had a PP 6/28/13.
specksofdust - June 10, 2013Lagunitas has a way of balancing their beers quite well, and this is no exception. The hard hop hit lasts only long enough to realize its happening before its evolved into a delicious malt blend.
Rene - June 5, 2013Solid work from Lagunitas. Strong hoppy earthy bitterness with citrus notes followed by caramel sweetness of the malts including a slightly sharp alcohol aftertaste.
pizzarolls - March 19, 2013Ipa maximus ale. A little disappointed.. When I hear "maximus" I think manly and when I drink this i think slanty wrist. Tastes okay for what I paid though. I drank the rest of my beers last night and saved this 6 pack for this morning.
