Growler fill, Stone, Liberty Station. Better than regular Arrogant but still would rather drink about 60 different beers before I drank this one. If it isn't Enjoy By, Stone is incredibly meh...

Smooth, malty, with a ton of hops mellowed out somewhat. Fairly dry, hints of vanilla, good sipping beer.

The oaking corrects some things I don't like about the normal version, but brings with it some new gripes. The regular version was all hop with other substance, in fact too much hop that it was out of balance, in my opinion. This one distracts from the hollow hop blast and adds a new element to the flavor, wood. So now its hops soaked in wood with little else to brag about. Though its better than the original, it still lacks any sort of malt character. It finishes too quickly and leaves a lasting bitterness, both in the literal sense and the figurative sense (I feel gypped of flavor...). The Arrogant Bastards are my least favorite from Stone, ranking just below 11.11.11. Again, so much better than piss lager that I can see how people get stuck on it.

First time I've tasted anything like it. Bourbon whisky colored with caramel head. nose and taste are oak, wood, some caramel, hint of cider. Smoked. more of a fine liquor than beer.

Pours a very dark amber. Retains a good 2-3 finger head. Very malty with long-lasting bitterness. Not one of my favorites from Stone.

A little to sweet compared the the in Oakes version. Oak is very prominent, bourbony flavor

Disclaimer: Perhaps I had a bad brew?
The oak flavor gives me the impression of drinking normal arrogant bastard (a delicious brew, btw) with large quantities of formula cleaner, like bleach, added. Very alkaline taste, did not enjoy. Maybe the bottles were improperly sealed?

A little to much bitter taste from hops..not bad.. But not one to rave about
