One of my top 3 beers. Rich, slightly sweet and complex. The saint wood aging of this brown ale really shines though.

A very good, rich tasting brew but with a slightly metallic after taste.

Exceptional beer. Dark. Thick. Chewy. The barrel aging adds complexity. Reminds me of a bourbon barrel stout.

Very nice brown ale. More like a porter. Smoky malt, carmel and a hoppy bitterness. Good stuff

Brown but a lighter whiskey barrel finish. Like a light bourbon barrel quad (Boulevard)

Quite vinous, oaky, and with a slight malty sweetness, this giant ale aged on Paraguayan wood offers layered complexity.

From the bottle. Really, really good. Surprising, complex, woody, boozy, thick, and you better not get up too fast after having one. Not sure it is a brown ale in the strictest sense but who cares? Dogfish Head isn't a conventional brewer in the strictest sense either. It's an amazing brew not for the feint of heart.

Barf. Tastes like glogg

Very tasty with a nice, woody flavor, but it is probably a bit much for12 ounces. I feel like after the first 5 or 6 I was basically done with it.

Can definitely taste the wood notes
