Smooth. Sweet. Cherry tart. Citrus upfront.

Ok. How not to like a 9.7 ABV bomber? By the time you get around to reviewing it, everything in the world is right;-) Of course it's great-- it's Ommegang. I think if there were more than 2% cherry ale I'd be balking, but as it is, no serious complaints. Maybe a bit too sweet for a hop head, but change is good. Belgians are an acquired taste IMHO, but this one is acquire-able. If sipped slowly, and the bottle kept nicely chilled whilst the sipping takes place.

Very minimal cherry flavor. Overall medium-light flavor, easy to drink.

Definitely dark-fruity. Good and all, but good for cooking/saucing, not amazing or anything on it's own,

Smooth dark ale with a pleasant not too sweet undertone

Quadruple ale with a touch of Belgian. A good wonderful rich flavor with a touch of sweetness. The beauty of this beer is that it isn't too sweet but well balanced. A great find from Cost Plus and I'll looking for it again.

Dark brown/amber with low head retention. Very complex flavor, fruity and cherry smooth medium mouthfeel no bitterness, mild alcohol finish.
