Smooth dark and mild, not sparkly. Feels flat.

Drinks smooth, but 9.5 ABV. Hints of coffee. Could get fd up quick drinking this.

The color is interesting and seems to change in different lights. At first blush, it looks to be a dark, hazy, muddy brown pour with a finger and a half of tan head. The head doesn't last too long before coalescing into a small thin layer of foam that rests on top of the beer. In other light, it seems to shimmer copper and amber and makes me think of Vermont maple syrup. As I inhale, butterscotch comes to mind right away. Some caramel, vanilla and maybe marshmallows too. Then I get the fruity flavor, maybe of cherries bringing up the rear with a tad bit of smoky oak pleasantness. Delicious and complex. When I taste, I get more of the cherries mingling with a little treacle on the aftertaste with the caramel and butterscotch flavors. Some similarities to the Chimay Blue with the fruity overtones. Top notch beer here, a great quad that stands up with the best of the class.

Mmmm....Heavy. Very complex. Black cherry and prune as others have said.

Amazing Beer. Cherry flavor hits this quad out of the park! Lots of flavor. High ABV is dangerously lost in the power packed taste.

Wasnt expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Its a strong cherry flavored belgian quad. Good natural cherry flavor. Perfect carbonation. No artificial taste.

9.7% Alchohol

The alcohol bite on the back end is the only reason I didn't give this four stars. Great sweet flavor with hints dried fruit.
